Abstract

The contemporary business environment in Latin America is at an unprecedented turning point, shaped by transnational competitive pressures, the imperative for an ecological transition, and a rapid acceleration in the digitalization of production processes. For organizations in emerging economies, strategic adaptation is no longer a matter of traditional, reactive responses; it has become a systematic requirement for survival and value innovation. In this context, research in management sciences faces a critical challenge: to move beyond theoretical frameworks originally conceived for highly institutionalized markets and, instead, provide rigorous, context-specific, and methodologically robust empirical evidence regarding the actual drivers of corporate performance in the region.

This issue (Vol. 7, No. 1, 2026) of *Business Innova Sciences* (BIS) brings together five scholarly contributions that explore the pillars of this transformation—drawing on diverse epistemological perspectives and cutting-edge analytical tools—including the adoption of disruptive technologies, the integration of the circular economy, microfinance inclusion and resilience, new post-pandemic organizational leadership, and the financial impact of corporate sustainability (ESG) on stock markets.
