Within the business universe there are countless factors that intervene as part of its dynamics that, while on the one hand, establish lines of work, on the other hand, point out ways for a better and satisfactory performance in the commercial niche. One of these factors is benchmarking, which allows us to see how effective a strategy can be, as well as to take a close look at the plans of the competition, and in this way correct, or even match others, all with the purpose of obtaining better results, and in this way, satisfy the needs required by the clients. One of the purposes of this article is to determine to what extent benchmarking can become significant within a company, to reflect on its importance, and how this tool can become, beyond its traditional conception, a methodology for action and change.
