The present study entitled "Lima from the Heights: An Analysis of Landscape Tourism and its Role in the Conservation of Natural Heritage" investigates the impact of landscape tourism on the conservation of the natural heritage of Metropolitan Lima. In a context where the city has been recognized for its rich biodiversity and natural landscapes, landscape tourism has become a key activity to promote sustainability and the appreciation of the environment (Cáceres & Flores, 2019). This study has as its main objectives to analyze how landscape tourism contributes to the conservation of natural heritage and to evaluate the perception of tourists and residents about this form of tourism. The findings reveal that landscape tourism not only attracts visitors interested in the scenic beauty of Lima, but also raises awareness about the importance of conserving the natural environment. Initiatives such as the promotion of protected areas and the development of tourist routes that highlight local flora and fauna have proven to be effective in encouraging sustainable practices (Díaz & Sánchez, 2019; Rodríguez, García & Gutiérrez, 2020). Furthermore, revenues generated by landscape tourism have been used to fund environmental conservation and restoration projects in the region, benefiting local communities. In conclusion, this study highlights the need to integrate landscape tourism within a broader conservation and sustainable development strategy in Lima, recommending that public policies foster collaboration between the tourism sector and local communities to ensure that the benefits of tourism translate into a real commitment to the conservation of natural heritage and fostering greater awareness among tourists and residents about the importance of protecting the environment to contribute to a more sustainable future for Lima (Weaver, 2018).
